Fans are in shock after this news just broke

Invited to the Canal+ studio to participate in the program “En Aparté” on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Roch Voisine discussed the Group A streptococcus infection he was diagnosed with nearly a year ago, which forced him to reschedule the tour celebrating his 35-year career, initially planned for 2024.

It’s a difficult-to-treat health problem. It was in 1989 that Roch Voisine recorded the song “Hélène,” which launched his career in French-speaking countries, 35 years ago. The 61-year-old artist is celebrating this anniversary, a year late, with a tour in Canada, France, Switzerland, and Belgium that began last February and will end this December.

The reason the 61-year-old missed the 2024 tour is because he was affected by a health problem that nearly cost him his career. He was diagnosed with group A streptococcus, from which he still suffers today. Last December, he explained in the pages of Closer magazine that the antibiotic treatment he underwent for a month and a half had “not worked” and that the infection had spread to his ears. “My eardrum ruptured, the pain was intense, I couldn’t hear anything,” he lamented, explaining that he had not “fully recovered [his hearing].”
