Toffee Sauce
An English sauce with a buttery caramel flavor, perfect for puddings, brownies, or ice cream.
Ingredients
150g brown sugar
80g butter
150ml heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preparation
Melt the butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until smooth and slightly frothy.
Add the heavy cream and vanilla, then cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until thickened. Allow to cool slightly before serving or refrigerating.
